Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation (THSRC) tasked TÜV SÜD to assess the safety and reliability of the entire system of rolling stock, track, and signalling system. TÜV SÜD experts reviewed and optimised key specifications, e.g. risk analysis, signal system reliability and signalling procedures and fire protection in the trains, against proven safety standards mandatory in Europe.
Alignment to European standards directly influences THSRC’s effort to maximize system availability under operating conditions. THSRC also benefitted from TÜV SÜD’s many years of experience with rail projects for major manufacturers and operators in Central Europe.
