IEC 60601-1 General Safety Requirements for Medical Electrical Equipment 3rd Edition was adopted gradually by Authorities and Public Health Organizations in the world since publication in 2005, which will be enforced in 2012 as estimated. compare with the 2nd Edition, the 3rd Edition is essentially different, which will have significant impact on medical device manufacturers especially the manufacturers in  China.
