TÜV SÜD China North Region held Construction Machinery Certification Seminar

With the global economic recovery and national large-scale economic stimulus plan, construction machinery products have recovered gradually from the last two years’ financial depression and additionally demand for exports has expanded steadily. Several domestic manufacturers of engineering machinery are growing rapidly and are among the top 50 of this field with their rapid development. In a joint effort with national organizations, TÜV SÜD held a seminar of Engineering Machinery Certification on 25th June, with the purpose of helping domestic clients understand the requirements of testing and certification when entering international markets for engineering machinery.

Main content of training
  • Requirements of New Machinery Directive, Outdoor Noise Directive and EMC Directive to Construction Machinery;
  • Standards and Certification requirements of Construction Machinery in North America;
  • Common problems when conducting testing, such as ROPS & FOPS, lamp reflector testing; it allowed QM staff to learn more about how to improve their self-check capabilities and enhance their competitive advantages;
  • In order to help clients to improve product quality, emphasis was placed on the structure and test requirements for the earthmoving machinery, road machinery and lifting machinery together with the calculation method of strength and stability through current domestic trends;
  • Detailed interpretation of standards helped domestic manufacturers to increase awareness of standards
The response of seminar was remarkable and the participants of many companies hope TÜV SÜD China will hold similar trainings in future, to enable them obtaining more complete and detailed understanding of the product design, certification process and cost reduction. To strengthen the impact of the seminar, several other relevant seminars will be organized where national technical experts will be invited to join, so as to further benefit clients.
