Services at a glance
In July, 2010, ZEK Decision EK2/31-10 was officially issued by ZLS which confirmed special testing and certification requirement for ‘Public and Accessible Training Equipment without Special Supervision.
Basing on this decision, TÜV SÜD draw up new completed testing program PPP 55012A:2010.
Testing program changes after new EK decision
Before 2010:-
EN 1176 and EN 957 series standards can be listed directly on the certificate for outdoor fitness equipment
After the new EK decision come into effect:
-
Only products which fully comply with EN 1176 or EN 957 series standards can have the standards listed in certificates.
- Take children playground equipment for example: this equipment must fully comply with EN 1176, therefore the EN 1176 standard can be listed in final certificates. But for outdoor fitness equipment, needing more additional safety standards to meet with, this equipment just partially complies with EN 1176 and EN 957. Therefore, when this product applies for testing and certification, the third party must draw up their own specialized testing and certification program which fully comply with ZLS new decision. The new specialized standard will be listed on the certificate.
